Mira is one of the most high-spec Antares on the market. Built-in 2017 and
owned by the original owner, it has the foundation of the Ted Clements
design with substantial updates. It was prepared for the ARC Caribbean 1
500, two trans-Atlantic crossings, and Mediterranean cruising. Additionally,
she underwent a substantial electric refit, making it a yacht with the solid
bones of a traditional Antares but with all the modern benefits.
Mira is perfectly equipped for extended world sailing adventures. She
received a major electrical refit in 2021 in the US, upgrading its Victron
electrical system designed for global cruising with a minimal carbon
footprint. Its massive lithium battery bank (1200 Amp hour) is charged by
high-density LG solar panels (2160 Watts), making it ready for true luxury
off-the-grid living. All onboard systems are supplied by its extensive inverter
bank, including air-conditioning systems, convection
oven,microwaveoven,washer/dryer, watermaker, hot water heaters, and 120V
outlets. The vessel is wired internally for both US and European standard grid
power and can accommodate shore power input from either when in port. A
custom stainless canopy integrates the aft arch to the coach roof, providing
the mounting locations for solar panels, security lights, and Starlink satellite
antenna. It also incorporates a retractable Sunbrella sunshade for aesthetics
and comfort. Mira is a true short-handed configuration with an in-mast
furling main, furling headsails, electric winches, and a complete spinnaker
package. These are all designed to be controlled from the comfort of the
